The new Slideaway from FW / Forty Winks. Quick review and our thoughts. Side Away.

Ok so we might be biased as we're the UK and European distributor, but there is good reason we decided to work with the Navis factory. The Navis wheels range now covers everything, from steels, 17" and 20" cast alloy wheels to custom made forged split rims. Whether you want something rugged and tough, or maybe a little more motortsport, or even that really special wheel for show season, there is a wheel in the Navis range for you. Best of all these are all built especially for the VW Transporter T5 to T6.1 platform, with the addition that they are also load rated and tested to work with the new Volkswagen Crafter / Man TGE. We've been involved in the previous and future design process, and there are some more stunners being added to this already impressive range, so keep watching. As Transporter HQ Europe, we are also working with Navis wheels to get some of the designs TÜV approved for the German and other European country market. Are these the best Volkswagen Transporter wheels EVER for T5 to T6.1. We think so and explain why

So after a long wait we final got the call that our full electric VW ID-Buzz was ready to collect. I head down on the train and get the long drive home in it. Time to give this thing a real long drive test and see if that range really is an issue. I talk you through my opinion of a decent longer drive back to Transporter HQ. I wasn't what i expected... VW ID Buzz electric range test, running costs & opinion after a long drive back to Transporter HQ

Mitch at Parkway VW Kettering lent us the new Volkswagen ID-Buzz for a few days. This gave us chance to give it a test, make some comparisons to the current VW Transporter T6.1 platform and T7 Multivan. While we had the ID Buzz passenger version, we got it on the ramps to get the measurements we needed to make ID Buzz lowering springs, Solow suspension coilovers and also Air ride for this and the ID Buzz Cargo. We also got some scans to work on some other styling options including a front splitter, amongst other things. I can't wait to see these thing with some extra styling. I think they are going to be a big hit. Looking forward to order that twin motors, AWD ID-Buzz GTX too. One thing we were a little disappointed with was the lack of opening window in the back of the ID-Buzz. We've sent all the information to our factory who are already working on a flush sliding window for the passenger / car ID-Buzz in window OEM tint, plus a dark, smoked tint for those planing to convert the ID Buzz Cargo into campers / day / surf vans etc. Our own Buzz arrives next week, so we'll go into more detail about our plans in a future video. VW Transporter So Low AiR suspension explained. T5, T5.1, T6 and T6.1

We've designed this seat plates to be the perfect central seating position when using a car seat instead of the van shaped seat. The plate in this video isn't designed to work with swivel seat bases. We will soon release a plates slightly offset that will still give you are great seating position but will also allow the seat to swivel. This is a really easy DIY job and there are lots of Golf GTI, Audi A3 seats etc available on market place and ebay etc. There is something about Wing back seats that make the van feel like it handles better. I know its a big slab sided object and not a race car, but the way the seats lock you in, make it feel more stable when cornering. Please do hit that like button, it means a lot. We Test The New Chair Pod & Show You How to Fit Them To Your T5/T6 tailgate | Van Shades.

We thought this video could be useful when you come to having your suspension fitted or if your current suspension has developed knock's and creaks etc. If you are getting a garage or even a VW specialist to fit your suspension, it might be worth asking them to watch this first. I've heard many time that suspension has been fitted by a 'specialist' and they've still fitted it wrong. We honestly spend hours every week trying to help people with suspension issues. We modify the T7 Multivan, then take it to a Transporter meeting and asking people their opinion.

Two new spoilers we've been working on at Transporter HQ. The new stealth / shorter / stubby T6 and T6.1 tailgate spoiler. Plus finally a spoiler that works with a bike rack. To start with we've developed a T6 and T6.1 tailgate spoiler that works with the VW genuine version 1 bike rack. If the demand is there, we'll move on to working on a version two bike rack spoiler and also a T5/T5.1 tailgate spoiler. New Stealth spoiler, plus finally a spoiler that works with a bike rack!

We've been using the Ecoflow power pack's of a while now and find them great for the purposes of our builds. The simple power, portability, installation and easy charging, just means they are so easy to use and set up. Plus they can be used literally anywhere. There are various options from Ecoflow whether you want big power for a full camper build, or you just want something simple to carry out for those trips to the beach or to use in the awning etc. I'm honestly so impressed with these. I took one glamping recently with the family and it was so useful. My Wife loves her throffy milk for a coffee, we took the aeroccino and boom, Starbuck's in a safari tent. It also kept the children's Nintendo DS's and iPads going during the rainy British weather. It really was a god send. They are robust too, I managed drop it down a hill fairly far. Other than a few light mark's, in looks and run perfectly. How To Keep Your Keys Safe 🔑

Brought to you by the people that designed the ever popular e-grille, this stealth rear door flap is a great way to hide all types of connection points. These can be use for electric hook up, LPG inlet and BBQ point outlets, water points for under slung tanks amongst many other connection points. We’ve seen people try the make this type of thing over the years and they’ve worked, but they aren’t pretty, they sag and flap around, don’t lock in place, have ugly silver cupboard hinges, or hit back against the bodywork. This has been design to work with the simplest of fitting, using your original painted cover trim. When installed the panels sits in its original position so you can’t even tell its there when closed. The hinge system has been cleverly deigned to pull out and way from the body, while locating and holding in place with hidden magnets. When open there is plenty of space for multiple connection tyres. Design to work with T5 right though to the current T6.1 Transporters with a tailgate, RHD and LHD models (Not compatible with barn door vehicles) The package contains all the parts needed for installation as well as simple to follow online instructions.

VW Transporter T5 to T6.1 tailgate hidden / Stealth flap / cover. Who knew that space was there?

It's been a long time coming, but our Crafter is finally finished and ready to hit the road. Massive thank you to Rhales conversions for their incredible work inside this. We'd also like to thank trailer vision for supplying the brilliant camera system. We still have a few more video's to come on the Crafter including a front / cab audio install. We'll do this showing the standard headunit and also with the new Alpine Halo 11 when they are back in stock. Coming very soon are the new Crafter / Man TGE dynamic side repeaters. Full Van Tour of Our 6 Berth - Extra LWB VW Crafter Camper!

This is an easier enough task if you have the right tools, a bit of time and these instructions. The kit also comes with printed instructions to refer to. If you don't fancy trying it yourself, show this video to your local audio installer and hopefully it'll speed up their work and save you a few quid 🙂 This kit is now in my van and I'm really impressed. I'd always planned on having a fancy high end expensive audio install. After having this installed, I just can't justify it as this Alpine adventure plug and play kit sounds so good.
